Hays County Local Health Department today reports 47 new lab-confirmed cases, 40 recoveries, and no new hospitalizations.
“By working as a community, we can slow the spread of this virus,” he said. “We continue to urge all Hays County residents to wear masks in public, wash their hands often, and stay home as much as possible. If you must go out, stay at least six feet away from others.”
The County’s total of lab-confirmed cases is 3,816; of those, 3,001 are considered active. The total number of individuals considered recovered is 801. The number of negative tests is 11,124. Schneider is awaiting results on 52 tests. Hays County has had 78 total hospitalizations; 22 people are currently hospitalized. Some patients are in hospitals outside Hays County but are included in our numbers if they reside here. Likewise, an individual from another county who is in a local hospital would be accounted for in their county of residence.
