“While lower numbers of new cases is a good thing, the pandemic isn’t over,” Schneider said. “Hays County residents can work together to slow the spread of the virus by washing hands, wearing masks and staying distanced from others.”

Hays County has had 125 total hospitalizations and 18 people are currently hospitalized. Some patients are in hospitals outside Hays County but are included in our numbers if they reside here. Likewise, an individual from another county who is in a local hospital would be accounted for in their county of residence.
