Hays County will reopen Five-Mile Dam Park on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2020 following several months of being closed due to COVID-19 related concerns.
Hays County Judge Ruben Becerra said, “With the City of San Marcos reopening its river front parks on Sept. 16, it’s time to reopen Five-Mile Dam Park as well.”
He added that this is a great time to get outside, get some fresh air and enjoy the slightly cooler temps in our area, but cautioned everyone to continue with normal COVID-19 safety practices.
“Spending time outdoors at local parks is an opportunity to exercise, enjoy the outdoors and spend quality time with loved ones,” he said. “We ask that everyone continue wearing masks, staying distanced and washing their hands or using hand sanitizer.”
