Hays County Pets of the Week November 13

November is Adopt-a-Senior-Pet Month at the regional animal shelter in San Marcos! To celebrate, adoption fees are being waived for senior pets (five years and older) until the end of the month. The regional animal shelter, located at 750 River Road in San Marcos, is the shelter for all of Hays County. View adoptable pets at www.sanmarcostx.gov/animaladoptions or call (512) 805-2650 to learn more.

Here are our Hays County Pets of the Week; both of these wonderful pets of the week were found as strays. Please identify with ID tags and microchip your pets!

Dog of the Week:  Professor Snape, ID #45575417

This adorable guy is a 3-year-old Terrier mix who is housebroken and crate trained. Snape does great with other dogs. He is friendly, very playful and would love to find a jogging buddy. He came in as a stray on 9/21 and has been patiently waiting for his forever family to bring him home. Could you be that family?

Cat of the week: Yam, ID #45877917

Check out that cute nose! Yam is a 2-year-old female Domestic Shorthair cat who came to the shelter as a stray last month. She is a real cuddle bug who loves people but seems afraid of other cats. Yam would be best in a loving home where she is the only cat and receives all the attention she so richly deserves. She is litterbox trained and enjoys spending her days chillin’.
