Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports four (4) COVID-related fatalities since Friday’s report, a Dripping Springs woman in her 80s, a Kyle man in his 70s, a San Marcos man in his 60s, and a San Marcos woman in her 50s.
The department also reports 567 new lab-confirmed cases along with 14 new hospitalizations and 17 new hospital discharges. There are 253 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 11,300.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 14,482. Hays County has 3,007 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 3,964 active cases. Hays County has had 631 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 40 people are currently hospitalized.
