Hays County COVID-19 Update February 25

Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports three COVID-related fatalities, a Buda man in his 70s, a Kyle woman in her 30s, and a San Marcos man in his 50s.

The Department also reports 44 new lab-confirmed cases along with five (5) new hospitalizations and three (3) new hospital discharges. There are 82 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 15,516.

The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 16,226. Hays County has 498 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 1,196 active cases. Hays County has had 738 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 28 people are currently hospitalized.

Individuals’ names will be on the wait list for whichever of the two groups they qualify, either 1A or 1B per Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) rules.
