Hays County COVID-19 Update as of March 4, 2021

Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports one COVID-related fatality, a Buda man in his 50s. The Department also reports 23 new lab-confirmed cases along with one (1) new hospitalization and one (1) new hospital discharge. There are 0 additional persons considered recovered*. The total number of persons considered recovered is 15,619.

The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 16,458. Hays County has 614 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 732 active cases. Hays County has had 754 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 16 people are currently hospitalized.
