Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports 23 new lab-confirmed cases along with two (2) new hospitalizations and two (2) new hospital discharges. There are 83 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 15,887.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 16,615. Hays County has 499 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 782 active cases. Hays County has had 762 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 12 people are currently hospitalized.

Individuals’ names will be on the wait list for whichever of the two groups they qualify, either 1A or 1B per Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) rules.
For those without internet access or those who are not technologically savvy, a call-in number is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12-4 p.m. to sign up on the Hays County COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration list. Those individuals who need help signing up can call 833-521-2766 and a volunteer will assist them in getting registered.
