Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports one COVID-related fatality, a male in his 50s from Buda. The department also reports 17 new lab-confirmed cases along with no new hospitalizations and one (1) new hospital discharge. There are 43 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 15,990.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 16,668. Hays County has 446 active cases. In the past 21 days, there have been 835 active cases. Hays County has had 764 total COVID-related hospitalizations and nine (9) people are currently hospitalized.

For those without internet access or those who are not technologically savvy, a call-in number is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12-4 p.m. Individuals who need help can call 833-521-2766; a volunteer will assist them in getting signed up on the Hays County COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration list.
