Hays County COVID-19 Update March 23

Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports 32 new lab-confirmed cases along with no new hospitalizations and one (1) new hospital discharge. There are 84 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 16,339.

The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 16,945. Hays County has 371 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 602 active cases. Hays County has had 781 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 13 people are currently hospitalized.

According to the state health department, all adults will be eligible for a vaccine in Texas beginning March 29.
