The Hays County Parks and Outdoor Space Advisory Commission (POSAC) was established in March 2020 by the Hays County Commissioners Court. The role of the Commission was to establish a process to study a parks, open space, and conservation bond program and to solicit project recommendations to the Hays County Commissioners Court that might be included on the Hays County 2020 Parks Bond in the November 2020 election. This group of appointees from the community was recently reinvigorated to help evaluate projects and allocate the $75 million bond funding approved through Prop A in November’s election. Additionally, the group is asking the public to submit additional ideas for parks and open space projects.
