The reconstruction of Cotton Gin Road Phase I is now complete.
On or about May 10, 2021, Hays County will begin Phase II of the construction project (this was rescheduled from a start date of on or about April 19). Hays County Transportation will start paving the northside of roadway and shift traffic over to the new paved road. This switch will mean traffic will stop traveling in the westbound direction and will start traveling eastbound on the new paved road. Traffic will still be using Bunton Lane, Shady Oaks and Dairy Road for circulation. Hays County thanks residents in advance for their cooperation and attentiveness to traffic restrictions during construction.
For the past six months Hays County Transportation has been working on the eastbound lane from Goforth Road to Bonanza Street. During this time traffic has been traveling one way in the west bound direction and using Goforth, Bunton Lane, Shady Oaks and Dairy Road for traffic circulation.
