Hays County COVID-19 Update May 29 – June 2

Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports five (5) COVID-related fatalities, a Buda man in his 60s, a Buda woman in her 70s, a Dripping Springs woman in her 70s, a San Marcos man in his 70s, and a Wimberley woman in her 80s. This report covers May 29 – June 2, 2021.
The department also reports 40 new lab-confirmed cases along with 12 new hospitalizations and 12 new hospital discharges. There are 87 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 18,465.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 18,904. Hays County has 187 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 328 active cases. Hays County has had 891 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 11 people are currently hospitalized.

Upcoming ‘no appointment needed’ vaccine clinics:
Monday-Friday, Pfizer vaccines @ Live Oak Community Clinic, 401 Broadway, San Marcos, 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.

Every Thursday and Friday – Pfizer vaccine @ CommuniCare, 2810 Dacy Ln., Kyle, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Hays County will be providing Pfizer vaccines at the following locations June 4-6:
Friday 5-10 p.m. | Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. | Sunday 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
