Hays County COVID-19 Update June 3-4

Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports one (1) COVID-related fatality, a Buda man in his 30s. The department also reports 20 new lab-confirmed cases along with one (1) new hospitalization and four (4) new hospital discharges. There are 40 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 18,479. This report covers June 3-4, 2021.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 18,898. Hays County has 166 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 299 active cases. Hays County has had 892 total COVID-related hospitalizations and eight (8) people are currently hospitalized.
NOTE: During a routine weekly data audit, HCLHD removed 26 cases due to out of county or duplicate.

Upcoming ‘no appointment needed’ vaccine clinics:
Monday-Friday, Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccines @ Live Oak Community Clinic, 401 Broadway, San Marcos, 8:30-11:30 a.m. and 1-4 p.m.

Every Thursday and Friday – Pfizer vaccine @ CommuniCare, 2810 Dacy Ln., Kyle, 8 a.m.-4 p.m.

Hays County will be providing Pfizer vaccines at the following locations June 4-6:
Friday 5-10 p.m. | Saturday 9 a.m.-4 p.m. | Sunday 12 p.m.-5 p.m.
