Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports one (1) new COVID-related fatality since Friday’s report, a Woodcreek man in his 70s. The department also reports 56 new lab-confirmed cases along with two (2) new hospitalizations and one (1) new hospital discharge. There are 43 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 18,740. This report covers July 3-7, 2021.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 19,192. Hays County has 189 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 250 active cases. Hays County has had 917 total COVID-related hospitalizations and seven (7) people are currently hospitalized.
