Hays County Redistricting Advisory Commission Begins Process

The Hays County Redistricting Advisory Commission (RAC), the group tasked with exploring and endeavoring to provide advisory input regarding the adjustment of Hays County Precinct boundaries, is in the process of holding work sessions. Following the 2020 Census, a Redistricting Advisory Commission (RAC) was established by the Hays County Commissioners Court. The RAC will explore and endeavor to provide advisory input regarding the adjustment of Hays County Precinct boundaries, including Commissioners Precincts, Justice of the Peace Precincts and Constables Precincts. This commission is aided by the County’s Office of General Counsel and by the law firm Allison, Bass & Magee.

The RAC is comprised of appointed members and the chairs of the Hays County Republican and Democratic parties. See the RAC members below:

A RAC webpage is dedicated to providing timely, relevant and transparent information about that process.

Four public input meetings will be held once any proposed maps are produced. Once those meeting details are set, they will be posted on the RAC webpage and shared on the County’s social media platforms:
