Following discussions with Hays County Commissioners Debbie Ingalsbe, Pct. 1, and Mark Jones, Pct. 2, the Hays County Transportation Department will install a four-way stop at the intersection of Shadow Creek Boulevard/Crosswinds Parkway at Windy Hill Rd., just east of Kyle. The installation will take place Friday, Aug. 19.
“Current conditions in that area are such that it’s challenging for people to leave and return to the Shadow Creek and Crosswinds neighborhoods,” Ingalsbe said.
According to the commissioners, this stop sign is aimed at alleviating morning and afternoon traffic backups on Shadow Creek Boulevard and Crosswinds Parkway. It should also allow residents to enter and exit their developments in a safer manner.
“We believe this option needs to be explored and studied to determine its effectiveness,” Jones said. “The traveling public is encouraged to alternate traffic to allow entrance onto Windy Hill.”
