Per a recommendation from the Hays County Fire Marshal, the burn ban was reinstated by Hays County Commissioners Court on Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2022. Some of the factors and indices used to make the recommendation are on the Fire Marshal’s web page on haysinformed.com. Decisions of this nature also include input from fire chiefs around the county.
