Alternating Lane Closure Notification

Hays County would like to make residents aware of upcoming construction operations that will require lane closures on Windy Hill with one-way traffic control as part of the ongoing Dacy Lane Roadway Improvements Project.

From 9 a.m. Monday, Nov. 7, 2022, until 3 p.m. Wednesday Nov. 9, 2022, one-way traffic control measures will be needed for improvements to Windy Hill in the areas of Dacy Lane intersection.

Closures will include flagging personnel and proper signage in the work area of the contractor. Project limits affected will be +/- 500 FT before and after the intersection of Windy Hill and Dacy Lane.

Hays County’s Transportation Department announced daytime lane closures on Windy Hill Road between November 2-November 4. The road contractor, Jordan Foster Construction Company, will set up daily lane closures between 9 a.m.-3 p.m. on those dates.

Lane closures will be located from one-quarter mile east and west of Dacy Lane. The westbound lane will be closed. East and westbound traffic will be controlled by flag personnel in the remaining eastbound lane.

The lane closures are necessary to provide a safe work zone for the widening along the north side of Windy Hill Road. Access to all side streets and businesses will be maintained at all times during the lane closures.
