On April 30, 2010 the County broke ground on its new 232,000 sq ft facility, designed to accommodate most county offices currently located throughout the San Marcos area. The consolidation will provide a one stop shop for our citizens. It is located on Wonder World Drive in San Marcos with an opening set for December 2011.
The Government Center is well under way. On November 18, 2010 the county celebrated a construction milestone— The “Topping-Out” by placing an evergreen tree at the highest point of the Government Center, signifying that the roof is “dried in” and ready for the dome placement.
