Hays County Bail Bond Board and Bail Bond Information

The Hays County Bail Bond Board licenses and oversees the companies that offer bail bonds in Hays County, hears complaints about those companies, enacts and enforces rules and regulations affecting bail bond companies and makes determinations about the issuance, denial and renewal of bail bond licenses. The Board was created pursuant to the provisions of the Texas Occupations Code, Chapter 1704 . The Board maintains a list of companies licensed to issue bail bonds in Hays County. The Board meets at 8:30 a.m. on the third Friday of every month at the Hays County Justice Center , 712 South Stagecoach Trail, Room # 1063. Notice of Meeting Proposed Amendment. A bail bond is a cash deposit, bond or other security given to guarantee the appearance of a defendant in a criminal case. Only bail bond companies licensed to do business in Hays County are authorized to issue bail bonds for persons charged in Hays County. If you have knowledge of a company operating without a Hays County license, or if you believe you have been treated unfairly by a bail bond company in Hays County, please fill out a complaint form.
