Hays County Courthouse, San Marcos, TX (March 10, 2020) – Sirena, the Children’s Mermaid, wants to make sure that everyone is counted during the 2020 Census. Children of all ages are invited to show their artistic skills at the countywide “Because I Count/Porque Yo Cuento” Children’s Art Contest and Census Information Day March 14 from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the San Marcos Public Library, 625 E. Hopkins St.
Children in three age groups can create original art Saturday to win prizes when the winners are announced after April 1 (Census Day).
