The Hays County Local Health Department received 17 new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 today. That number is likely lower than it would be if today were not an observed holiday for many labs and health care providers.
The virus is still spreading throughout Hays County. Our health department team strongly urges everyone to stay at home if possible, practice good hand washing, and stay distanced from others in public. The State of Texas is now under an Order from Governor Greg Abbott to wear a mask in public. Read more about the Order here.
