Hays County COVID-19 Update September 10

Hays County Local Health Department today reports eight (8) new lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19. Epidemiologist Eric Schneider also reports five hospital discharges and 46 additional recoveries.

The total number of lab-confirmed cases is 5,568 with 1,915 of those considered active. The number of individuals considered recovered is 3,602. The number of negative tests is 25,648. Schneider is awaiting results on 36 tests.

Hays County has had 158 total hospitalizations and eight (8) people are currently hospitalized. Some patients are in hospitals outside Hays County but are included in our numbers if they reside here. Likewise, an individual from another county who is in a local hospital would be accounted for in their county of residence.

Hays County
