Hays County COVID-19 Update March 25

Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports 60 new lab-confirmed cases along with one (1) new hospitalization and two (2) new hospital discharges. There are 23 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 16,379.

The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 17,017. Hays County has 402 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 584 active cases. Hays County has had 783 total COVID-related hospitalizations and eight (8) people are currently hospitalized.

According to the state health department, all adults will be eligible for a vaccine in Texas beginning March 29.
