The department also reports 53 new lab-confirmed cases along with 11 new hospitalizations and one (1) new hospital discharge. There are 44 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 18,319. Note: this report covers May 22-24.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 18,828. Hays County has 263 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 433 active cases. Hays County has had 874 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 19 people are currently hospitalized.
