Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports two COVID-related fatalities since the last update on June 14; a Driftwood man and a San Marcos man, both in their 50s. The department also reports 14 new lab-confirmed cases along with one (1) new hospitalization and one (1) new hospital discharge. There are 30 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 18,604.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 18,988. Hays County has 127 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 192 active cases. Hays County has had 907 total COVID-related hospitalizations and seven (7) people are currently hospitalized.

Pfizer vaccines are also offered by Curative at 210031 I-35, Kyle (Hays CISD Administration, in the old Transportation Building), on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m.
