The warmest day of the week is expected on Wednesday, Jan. 11, before a front moves across the area Wednesday night. Cooler, drier, and breezy on Thursday, Jan. 12, with mild temperatures sticking around through the weekend. A slight warm-up with breezy winds on Sunday.
Behind the passage of a Pacific cold front Wednesday night, NW winds will become breezy during the day Thursday, ushering in dry air. Elevated to near critical fire weather conditions are possible in the afternoon mainly for the western half to two-thirds of the region.
