**Hays County parks are closed Feb 2-3 for ice storm cleanup; stay off trails due to danger** 
The recent ice storm in Hays County caused many trees and limbs to fall and created other damage and debris at several of the county’s parks and trails, including Jacob’s Well, Dahlstrom, Winters Mill Parkway and Five-Mile Dam Park.
Due to the continued danger and cleanup efforts, all county parks will be closed Feb. 2-3 to allow for cleanup. Staff asks the public to stay off all trails as there is still a danger of falling limbs as well as debris on the ground. Even on your own property use caution if walking or standing under a canopy of trees.
