HIGH WIND WARNING – HIGH WILDFIRE RISK ON FEB. 10
Another cold front will bring high winds to our area on Friday, Feb. 10. The Hays County Fire Marshal asks county residents to refrain from any outdoor burning when the winds are high. A big concern is the abundance of dead grass from last week’s freeze.
Additionally, he strongly advised checking any debris burn piles to absolutely ensure they are completely out and won’t have the chance to spread smoldering coals and catch anything else on fire.
