GUIDED TOURS AT THE GAY RUBY DAHLSTROM NATURE PRESERVE
If you are interested in learning a little more during your visit, then this is the tour for you! Guided tours cover a variety of topics including the history, ecology and archaeology of the Gay Ruby Dahlstrom Nature Preserve. Tours will be led by a knowledgeable volunteer or park staff member. Each guide will specialize in different topics, but you can expect to learn more about the creation of this Preserve, the flora and fauna found on the property, and the unique relationship between water and the Texas Hill Country.
Guided tours are available to the public on the first and third Friday and Saturday of the month at 10 a.m. Tours are by request only and you must purchase a day pass to the Preserve for the date you wish to tour. There is no additional fee for the tour. All guests who have a day pass for the first or third Friday/Saturday of the month are welcome to schedule a tour as well.
Tours begin at 10 a.m. Please be sure to arrive at the park at least 15 minutes prior to check in. It is highly recommended that you wear comfortable walking shoes and bring an adequate amount of water for your visit. No pets are allowed on Preserve property and no food or water will be provided.
