Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports five COVID-related fatalities, a Buda man in his 50s, a Kyle man in his 60s, a Kyle woman in her 90s, a San Marcos man in his 30s, and Wimberley woman in her 90s.
The Department also reports 54 new lab-confirmed cases along with four (4) new hospitalizations and six (6) new hospital discharges. There are 0 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 15,619.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 16,399. Hays County has 559 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 872 active cases. Hays County has had 752 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 20 people are currently hospitalized.
