Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports 90 new lab-confirmed cases along with three (3) new hospitalizations and two (2) new hospital discharges since Friday’s report. There are 46 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 16,036.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 16,758. Hays County has 490 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 925 active cases. Hays County has had 767 total COVID-related hospitalizations and 10 people are currently hospitalized.
Visit haysinformed.com to sign up on the Hays County vaccine pre-registration wait list. The pre-registration list does not guarantee an appointment. Individuals’ names will be on the wait list for whichever of the groups they qualify per Texas Department of State Health Services (DSHS) rules.
For those without internet access or those who are not technologically savvy, a call-in number is available Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 12-4 p.m. Those individuals who need help can call 833-521-2766; a volunteer will assist them in getting signed up on the Hays County COVID-19 vaccine pre-registration list.
