Hays County Local Health Department (HCLHD) reports 41 new lab-confirmed cases along with three (3) new hospitalizations and two (2) new hospital discharges. There are 51 additional persons considered recovered. The total number of persons considered recovered is 18,275. This report covers May 20-21.
The current total of lab-confirmed cases for Hays County since the beginning of the pandemic is 18,775. Hays County has 255 active cases. In the past 21 days there have been 462 active cases. Hays County has had 863 total COVID-related hospitalizations and nine (9) people are currently hospitalized.
NOTE: During the HCLHD weekly data audit 41 cases were removed, 16 of which were hospitalizations.
